try to connect a passive solar water heater hot. have 4ft by 7ft solar panel, 30-gallon tank on the tank?
are cold, hot more drain on the bottom. what goes where? buz.
How do you intend to drive traffic? I recommend a PV pump, thermostatically controlled valves and disk traffic. Unless the pipe runs are very short and straight, and the panel is below the reservoir, convection will not be enough. In general, you want to feed the panel from the bottom of the tank and run the water heated by the sun back on top. I would like install a tee before the drain valve (with a valve to isolate the heating circuit) for panel power, and another between T cold foods and the reservoir, (with another isolation valve) to the return line. These additional valves will be a "pain", but if you neglect provision to isolate the system you will regret it sooner or later.
