How long electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen takes?

I am trying to calculate how long it takes to separate hydrogen from oxygen by electrolysis. to make 1000 kg of hydrogen per day. the fact that all knowledge, how long is a Lot? or how can a large electrolyzer take some time. I use i grace HOCL

The beautiful thing about the electrolysis of water Is it scales quite well. 27s_law_of_electrolysis% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday From there you would find an equation for the number of moles produced given a certain current, time and number of valence electrons. The equation is n = iT / ZF I = T = Z = valence number current electrons F = Faraday constant. We must first make some assumptions and calculations. We must first find the number of moles is 1000 kg. To do this we divided the total mass (1000000grams) by the molar mass to find the total number of moles. The molar mass of hydrogen is 1.0079 g / mol. So 1000000 / 992 000 ~ 1.0079 moles. Now we must find the number of seconds in a day. He returned to be 86,400 seconds. The number of electrons valence of hydrogen is one that can be viewed on any periodic table. So now we have to reorganize. I = NZF / TI = (96485) * (1) * (992000) / (86400) I = 1100 amps (actually a little more) that would have DC. I think you just have to maintain a voltage greater than 1.23 V between the two so that you can do so at low voltage. Something like 12V. The calculations of power P = VI P = 12 * 1100 = P 13,200 Watts 100% efficiency, which assumes a 100% efficiency in this regard. The process is rather inefficient. There are ways to use heat to reduce the amount of electricity needed. 13.2Kwatts is a piece of power. And that does not include any additional pumps and monitoring is necessary. Also you will need to convert power from AC to DC for this is another loss of energy. Also a side Note I do not know if the voltage high or low voltage is better. The low voltage is better for security and total power overall, but perhaps not enough voltage to keep this current. HV it would be easier to pass this current in the water. (Also a brine solution of salt or other compounds may be added to increase conductivity.) I used 12 volts as it is the tension I've seen commonly used in households expired but I do not know on a commercial scale.
