A 0.54 kg sheet hangs from a massless clothesline. The line on either side of the sheet makes an angle of 3.5° with the horizontal. Calculate the tension in the clothesline on either side of the sheet.

Why is the tension so much greater than the weight of the sheet?
Lets call gravity 10 m/s^2
m x g = weight N = 5.4 N
because the line is equal angles the tension is split into 2
so you have 5.4/2 = 2.7N each side of sheet.
The angle = 3.5 degrees
So 2.7/sin(3.5) = 44.227 N
