What's it called ?.... (Mechanical design of electronic equipment)?
I have a problem, if Please read this and leave your suggestions. Any help will be apreciated I plan to use 2 surface mount (SMD) Light Emitting Diodes (LED) on a PCB. The PCB is about 12 mm from the panel of the enclosure. I need an optical path that bring light the MDS panel of the enclosure. I've seen some designers manage to do this using an acrylic cone / cylinder between the PCB and the Panel. I do not know what this is called .... I need some literature on how to design this kind of optical path
