Ribbon Lead
troubleshooting with floppy drive?
am having trouble geting floppy drive to boot. i hooked up twisted ribbon cable to it and flat white power lead from Power Supply n still nothing. although when hooked ribbon up before couple times i ddi get a green light which stayed on, so i turned ribbon upside down n wouildnt boot. i even tried other floppy drives n a diff ribbon n still nothing. any help appreciated thnks.
So you turn the cable upside down, forced into the socket, and wonder why it does not work? Do try thinking.
Floppies don't boot. they read.
Who the hell uses floppies anymore?
