What is the advantage of horizontal pumps over vertical mounted pumps?
I am reffering to vertical shaft mounting and horizontal shaft mounting in water pumps.
There are several different types of both horizontal and vertical pumps. That is not a sufficient description to make a choice.
You can get pumps that meet ANSI standards, API standards, and other standards as well as some that meet no standards.
Efficiency, life expectancy or installed cost considerations can be a major factor in your choice.
