How can I remove stains safely my goose down duvet?
My son spilled orange juice this morning.
First of all, check the label with cleaning instructions on the side. If you do not want to wash it or if it says dry clean only, you can do that or put some Shout on it and scrub. It will probably make the color lighter but make the task more Rinse Only this task with water under the sink or something, and continue to use Cree (or soap) all over this area, rubbing gently until the stain is all out and it is just damp. Then let dry. You can use some Febreze to get rid of the smell of orange juice, too. However, if you want to take a chance and wash, you can too. What may happen is that the down will get all messed up, but you can try shaking / beating the duvet to get it back to normal.
