Replacement for exterior spotlights exposed to weather?
at the peak of my gable end roof, i'd like to replace the existing ugly 2 headed swivel spotlights with another style fixture. it will be completely exposed to the elements. am i stuck using a spotlight type fixture? would prefer an up/ down 2 bulb cylinder fixture but the bulbs will get rained and snowed on. advice/ options?
use what you like as long as it is rated for outdoor use/wet location
check into HID lighting, it's what you see in parking lots, one fixture can give more lumens than your current set up it's more expensive and you can't aim the bulb like you can with the swivel heads
